
Lakeside Club of Manistee County Scholarship for Service Award
Since 1885, the women of the Lakeside Club of Manistee County strive purposefully every year to enhance the lives of all that live in Manistee County. The addition of this scholarship program will further our mission. The Lakeside Club plans to expand the scholarship program to include all high schools located in Manistee County in the future. This program is funded through our annual events and through donations.
Scholarship requirements are:
To apply for a scholarship the student can contact their counselor or mail their essay and letters of recommendation to Lakeside Club, P.O. Box 753, Manistee 49660. 2024 dates to be announced.
- A graduating female from Manistee High School
- Attending a college, university, or trade school in the fall of that year
- Community and school involvement
- Genuinely cares for others first, before self, and is an advocate for anti-bullying
- A good citizen that is respected by her peers
- Must submit a one page essay “What my community means to me”
- Two letters of recommendation from non-related adults who know the applicant and can attest to her character
